Yeah just got Aion. Need to try something different, if I saw the video reviews correctly... Aion is more like how WoW used to be. Tighter community, PvPvE chaos...
But yeah who knows I might end up ditching it.

The PvP is the only good aspect about the game imo, but then I haven't been to end-game. Also, leveling is a slag. Like. Worse than trying to level naked in WoW.

i got to lvl 12 and got bored. all the bugs pissed me off and the amount of grinding was horrific!the flight thing was interesting a bit but generally i found it to be a total let down

So far it doesn't feel grindy leveling up at all. Must admit leveling yesterday night feels much faster than WoW without heirlooms. Reached level 12 after one night (dying horribly, failing to find things, figuring out controls/gear, graphics setting, keybinds, looking at surroundings, gathering everything I see, wasting time with emotes) which is equilevant to level 19 in WoW.
I did hear there are gaps of quests in certain level ranges so will have to wait and see if it becomes grindy. So far I like the quests, campaign ones are nice with cutscenes. I also like it how somehow you want to complete quests in an entire zone to unlock everything instead of skipping it.
The combat system is really, really impressive. I did not expect it really, I figured it would be similar to WoW but it isn't. This chaining and movement system is awesome, makes combat really involved and tactical. Now I understand why this is labeled as a PvP game. Probably will get even better with Stigma's. I also like the fact that nothing gets globalled so far. Can't wait for some aeriel combat, mobs evade when I shoot em from above 
The first and best thing I noticed so far are flight paths. They are actually flight paths designed to get you somewhere fast and not give you a tourist route around an entire content before you get taken to your destination. 
I do dislike some game mechanics like how auto-attack works (stops after every ability), displaying of gear upgrades (red = good? Que?), the japanese like sillyness in emotes/voice and don't understand some features at all yet (power shards, end-game).
Oh and flying...well itz nice.
This weekend is double XP weekend, I wonder if it is going even faster then oO

I've reached level 20.
I highly dislike the tabbing system in Aion!
And I've discovered/encountered my first elites. Died 2 times while trying to kill some mobs. Finally I got 1 alone and it took me 5+ minutes to kill it granting me like 21k xp which was 2 bars or something. I was like...wtf...no wonder this place is hard.
Apparantly it was an elite zone and you had to do it with a group and I spent like an hour trying to do it on my own.
Crafting is the ultimate grind though....I spent over 2 hours leveling up crafting and it went up by like....NOTHING.....
Still waiting for PvP!
